It's Been how Long?? (United States)

Holy mouse yEars... It has been HOW LONG since I been active on this site??? WoW!!!! I joined so many different Disney fan sites that I can no longer keep track LOL.. I remain active in only a few... I'm going to try my best to remain active here again... So, what's been going on since I last signed in, oh, a year and a half ago:

I lost my job in June of 2011... and I haven't been able to find work since... I've been looking hard, applying to EVERYTHING, but no biters... I had one interview and haven't heard back...

Took a trip to the World in Sept/Oct 2011 for WDW's 40th... Had a great time at MK with my Florida friends (they visited MK for the first time in a LONG time, i am glad they came with me that day... They had a wonderful time as well)... Had a so/so time in DHS (actually, I hate that park though Star Tours 2.0 is awesome!!!)... Felt bored in Epcot... And gotr rained on in DAK which ruined my day... Spent 3 days visiting Universal/IOA and fell in love with their parks all over again (wait, I never loved their parks, so I shoudl eb saying I fell in love with their parks for the first time!!!)... Potter was amazing, Spiderman is awesome (and with the upgrade it is receiving, Spiderman will be back to number 1)... Universal Studios was fun... HHN was pretty cool...

I also fell in love during this trip only to havemy heart broken a week later.... Yes, I'm over it, but just barely... I'm finally picking up the pieces... This really hurt me deep inside and took a ong time to get over... I'm not sure I'll ever feel the same way about love ever again, to be honest...

other than that, my life has been boring... Been doing a lot of writing since I lost my job... two chapters down and working on the third on a book I decided to write... I'm also trying my hand at movie scripts again... Came up with a subject for a drama, and I plan on starting the outline of this story sometime this coming weekend... But most of my time has been spent trying to find a job... I am half way to my MBA but I had to stop because I cannot afford to pay tuition out of pocket and I refuse to do student loans... I have to be back in class by the end of May of this year or else I risk being put into a new MBA program which means I may have to retake classes or take extra classes... As it stands now, i have a 3.8 GPA and only 6 more classes to take... I need to figure something out... any suggestions???

Hey Bobby great to see you again. So sorry about your job. I know it's been tough lately. Where are you again? We have so much filming here seems like streets are shut down every day. There is a TV show produced in down town Baton Rouge which is supposed to be taking place in Boston and NYC... anyway it's interesting.

I have to say get that MBA finished even if you have to take out a few loans. Usually the rates are not that bad and if it improves your job situation and gets you a job faster then it may pay to take a loan.

So glad to hear you went to WDW. Almost the same time I went last year. I love Wizarding World. We went in Dec 2010. It was 28 degrees in sunny Florida so the park was virtually empty which was great. I loved the place. My kids loved the butterbeer which is amazing.. it's so sweet. My son never read the books or saw the movies but he loved Universal because of the great rides. I loved their queing system too. Nice to have someone who can chat about Universal sometimes.

Hey Bobby..... welcome back.

I'm sorry about your job loss but hang in there and I'm sure things will pick up.

I'm glad to see you back here. You have a good knowledge of WDW and I like reading your posts.

Thanks Bret. i have been trying.. trying real hard... sending resume after resume, online application after online application.. and only 1 call for an interview... they emailed me today telling me they haven't made a decision on 2nd interviews yet... It is tough out there...

Sorry to hear about your job. I hope you get something soon.
We have never been to Universal if you can believe that. Some day we have to go.
As for the love, just give it time. Some day you'll look back and won't even remember the details!

Hey Stephanie, just saw your response now. Sowwy...

I used to be a Uni hater. Had so many bad experiences. But, in 2009, they won me over. I will always dedicate time to visit Universal now. This past trip, i spent 3 days over there, 2 at IOA and 1 in Uni and stayed for HHN.

I am trying to figure out what I can do for myself as far as a job. I keep thinking about opening my own business, just trying to figure out what. I'd love to open a movie studio LOL. But I am sure that would be doomed for failure on the outset :)

As for the love, well, i can tell you I'm over her and over what happened. We haven't really spoken since the night I opened up to her. Last time we talked on the phone was the week before Christmas when we called me to wish me a Merry Christmas. Other than that, no phone conversations. We did text about a week and a half ago, and honestly, things felt different. things felt cold, icy. The friendship has changed (and i really hate that it did).

I think I would love Universal and all that's there but we never have the time to go. We still just enjoy Disney to darn much! I really want to see Harry Potter World too.

Stephanie if you enjoy Harry Potter you will love the Wizarding World of HP. The castle is awesome, better than I imagined and so much detail at every corner. Then there is Honeydukes and butterbeer. I loved it. We were freezing as it was 28 degrees but it emptied the park and I got to buy a Gryffindor scarf

The butterbeer, oh my god, it is to die for. I have to try the frozen one next trip.

Hogwarts is unbelievable. The queue is amazing, the best queue I ever seen. The ride was fantastic. Steph, take 1 day and go to IOA to see Potter at least, if you don't want to go to Universal Studios. But, by 2015, if you are a Potter fan, you will want to visit both parks. Just saying.
