Things happen at your resort…..

With the power failure post today I was wondering have you ever had anything go wrong at the resort. I am talking about things like power failure or bad weather.

I remember we were at the Wilderness Lodge Villas one time when the cable went out and I saw a flash. The Air was also out but we still had lights. I walked out to the balcony and all the outside lights were out but the rooms still had lights. They had no walkway lights are anything like that. A few minutes later I saw a fire truck pull up to the service area and the fireman walked around with some CMs. Soon they were on their way and not to long after that we had TV and the outside lights came back on.

We also sleep through the fringes of a Tropical storm but we did not have any problems with that other then we stayed an extra day…. That was one of our best days in Magic Kingdom…..

What have you had happen?

I can't recall anything like that ever happening during our stays.  I know we completely slept through a heavy rain shower once, but I don't think there was any thunder or anything.

We did have housekeeping try to come in once even though the do not disturb was out.  We had the safety bar on, so they didn't get in, but it still scared me.

I had to call an ambulance once, but it turned out to be not necessary. Amy had fallen and gotten a bad bump on her head. If I had been home I would have probably known what to do, but in a place where I wasn't familiar, I had not a clue.

The ambulance attendants were wonderful. The hotel desk knew we had dialed 911 and called us asking questions. They were keeping me from my daughter so I told them I had to get back to her and I could not talk on the phone - they came up and asked alot of questions about her fall. They left only after the ambulance got there and I had assured them there wouldn't be a lawsuit.

We were staying at the Beach Club (I believe) when the power went out. I can't sleep without the TV and some other noise and I instantly woke up. It lasted for a while and if I remember correctly, we got some money off the bill. It lasted during the night but that was it.
