Rheumatoid arthritis  (United States)

A friend of mine was recently diagnosed with this. I was wondering if anyone has any stories to share about Disney or just life in general with this disease. Also, anything on treatments would be helpful. They want her to start taking Methotrexate but she's alittle hesitant to start. Thanks

Re: Rheumatoid arthritis  (United States)

Stephanie, Angel has RA so any stories you see by her will give you an idea. She just had her second knee replacement. She has had so much trouble since her back surgery, seems one thing puts too much pressure on the other. For example her first knee surgery gave her trouble and she favored one side and this lead to pressure on the back b/c of the shift in weight and then the back surgery which gave her trouble with infections etc.

My friend was just hit with 2 diseases, RA and scleraderma. She's going to take the Methotrexate once a week but she's very upset. Who can blame her?
