Well, I did it!! I changed our reservation from Bay Lake Towers to Beach club! Can you believe I did that?
I love, love, love Bay Lake Towers but I have never been stayed at the Beach Club. Since we own points in BLT we can stay there any time. I have never called when Beach Club has an opening. I love the thought of being in walking distance to both Epcot and MGM!!
I put my two cents in
Congrats! It's nice to try something different!
Very cool Angel. That is my dream resort, one of these years I would "love love" to be able to stay here. I just have to keep the faith that one day it will happen.
Very nice!! I know you'll enjoy yourself regardless. Now is this where the whole group is staying? Or are you just choosing to use points+ to stay there? What prompted/pushed you to make the decision? (If you've covered this elsewhere, I apologize for missing it!)
No, we are not staying with the group, it will be just Bobby, Taylor and me.
I did not want to pay $500 a person to stay at All Star Sports for 3 days when I have a room at DVC waiting for me! $1500 for all star, no way!!
We will have to pay for event tickets but that is only about $150 per person.
Well very good then! I couldn't remember all of the specifics you'd listed before and I'm glad you're managing to get something in a better budget. Woo! :-)
I love this resort. We stayed in December. Our room was on the Epcot side of the resort. It was literally steps away from the entrance to Epcot (I counted one day but can't remember). We have never walked to MGM. I think it is a little bit of a distance. I love ending the night walking around World Showcase. It is a totally different feel at night. It is also awesome to watch Illuminations and leave the crowd behind as you walk back to your room.
Lori, I am looking forward to it even more now!!
I love Epcot, it is my favorite park. The thought of being able to just walk over there anytime... AND maybe getting a room with the view of the fireworks...
<- I think this smile if permanent!!
I have a happier thought. You being able to just WALK over there whenever you want. Without pain. Without worry. In the (second) happiest place on earth.
Lori mentioned walking back after illuminations. When we stayed at the boardwalk when my parents were w/ us and we had two scooters. I felt like a salmon swimming up stream leaving illuminations, we were only at Canada, trying to get a scooter through a crowd going the other way was not fun. But it is a shorter walk than to the entrance and on a bus or monorail.

We stayed at the Beach Club for my 40th birthday. It's great being so close to Epcot. You're going to love it!
