A little lesson on PIN CODES . . .
Disney discounts directly from the Disney Company usually come in the form of PIN codes - an e-mail (or postcard) that contains an exclusive code for YOU and only YOU to receive a substantial Disney discount. Some clients have recently received a Room Discount of 40% off any resort (based on availability) for fall 2010 travel dates (with some black out dates) . . . that is a huge savings!!! While the exact method Disney uses to pass out these discount PIN codes is secret, here are some of the things you can do to possible increase your chances of receiving a code: 1. Register with the Disney site. While this alone probably will not trigger a Disney discount code, you can't get on their list if they don't have your information. 2. Order a Disney vacation planning DVD on Disney's site. 3. Create customizable park maps and itineraries on the Disney site. This is another step that will let Disney know that you are thinking about taking a vacation, but haven't committed to a Disney property. 4. Save vacation offers on the Disney site. Saving offers for the dates in which you want to stay may increase your chances of receiving a Disney discount PIN code for those dates. 5. Make sure you check your SPAM folder of your email system periodically. 6. Call Disney's reservation line (or have your travel agent call on their reservation line) and ask whether you have a code attached to your name. If an agent tells you that they can't look that up, hang up and call again. Again, there is no guarantee you will receive a PIN code by doing any of the above. There is no rhyme or reason how or when Disney decides to send out PIN codes; however, you may be pleasantly surprised one day and receive one!

Kim, thanks for all the tips!
Can you check and see if I have any PIN codes?? LOL
I think Disney knows they can count on me for at least 1 visit a year.
Thanks again for giving our members some tips on how to save some money at WDW!!
Hi Sarah:)
Actually you can call Disney Reservation and ask them if a PIN Code is attached to your name. Some CMs will look for you other will say they can't do it. If they do, hang up and call again.
And yes lol, I can check if someone has a PIN Code attached to their name. Travel Agents have different reservation lines and I've never run into a CM telling me that they can't check for me:)
Thanks for the information!
I was getting discount cards in my oldest daughter's name after we brought her and my granddaughter 6 years ago.
I wondered why she was getting cards but I was not... so I called.
I found out that everyone on that reservation could use the code. They send it on her name because she never booked alone before. (of course not - how could mommy pay if she did that??)
So, if you travel with someone that later gets a discount card make the call or call Kim for a reservation. She should be able to get the code for you too!!
I put my two cents in
Is there a short cut to the latest comments?
I have a user name, now what?
How do I get an avatar?
Are there rules?
What can I use as a user name?
Should I use my own name?
