I'm going to WDW as a birthday present!

I get to take my boyfriend Brian, and hopefully my dad (the gift-er) will come to the park for a day as well. We are going to be in Kissimmee from the 9-15. Not staying on grounds.. but that's okay. We are getting 4 days of tickets.. and for a good deal because of the military special Disney has going on right now.

So here's the plan:

Wednesday (11) The Magic Kingdom ... and we will be watching The Mainstreet Electrical Parade and enjoying Summer Nightastic in the evening.

Thursday (12) We will either start the day in Epcot or Animal Kingdom, and finish at (MGM). Whether we go to AK Thurs or Friday, I plan on finally going to see flights of wonder. Because of all the times I've been I never took the time to go see that show.

Friday (13) Depending on where we went Thurs morning- it will be Epcot or AK, then MK.

Saturday (14) Brian has never been to Typhoon Lagoon, so depending on the weather.. and my mood...we will either start there or not. Then finish off the last day at Epcot.  We are planning on seeing Captain EO. Brian is really excited because he remembers it from when he was little. I don't remember ever going to it.. probably because I'm afraid of 4-D shows altogether.

So far the plan is to just do quick service dining the whole trip to save money.. or to make it last. However you want to look at it.

Anddddd- I will be getting my mom a bag of cotton candy from the park, and finding a new popcorn container for my aunt (MiniMinnie).. but I'll probably eat the popcorn myself.

How about a trip report? Seems like a good time to put my 2 cents in.

On the first day of our trip we went to the Magic Kingdom- and Brian proposed to me in the Rose Garden. It was wonderful! Brian got down on one knee.. and got really quiet when he noticed a crowd forming. but he did pop the question.. and I said yes!

We were in the park at night for the Summer Nightastic and it was awesome! I was skeptical that it would compare to Wishes!... but it was amazing! The fireworks spread across the entire sky instead of just by the castle, making it not matter so much where you watched from.. but we watched from the Rose Garden.

The next day we started at Epcot.. and finished at MGM (I refuse to call it Hollywood Studios) hehe.

Friday we started off at Animal Kingdom, got soaked on Kali River Rapids.. and I actually was brave enough to keep my eyes OPEN on Expedition Everest this time! So I saw the Yeti..

Next was a short trip to MGM to do a few things we missed before.. then a break at the hotel for Brian.. finishing the day at MK. (this is why I need a parkhopper. lol)

The last day we went to Typhoon Lagoon in the morning. (first time for Brian) he loved it... we both got some beach towels.. I got the one with the seagulls from Finding Nemo, and he got a classic Mickey Mouse towel. Brian thought he would want to stay all day... but then realized he wasn't 10 anymore. So we ate lunch and then headed to the hotel for a break and shower.

PS- TL is not easy to get to from off grounds. Let's just say it took us much longer than it should have since I was thinking we could catch a bus from a park... not! You have to catch one of the buses that goes downtown/tl. We learned that after 2 bus rides and a monorail trip. ha.

Last but not least- we spend the last night at Epcot.. and of course Brian got tired before me so I closed the park by myself! It was still fun though.

I do have to say- that Captain EO was actually really fun. Not scary or weird. I liked it.

and since I was by myself.. and have seen the fireworks many times.. I used the opportunity to go ride Maelstrom with no line!

So- it was a great trip- but I realize now that staying off grounds.. not worth it. not that we had a choice.. but I def like the convenience of staying on grounds.

oh- and I did get a popcorn container for Aunt Beth.. but my mom's cotton candy.. well I did get it.. only I left it in my car too long and cooked it into a tiny piece of candy for her.
