When Patti and I were at WDW in May for my birthday celebration trip we had a few photo's there by the Photo Pass people and we even got our free one from our Disney Visa Card.

A few weeks ago I got an email from Disney that my photo pass was about to expire and I thought I had better take a look at them to see if any were worth saving.

Boy.... was I surprised.

Not only were they worth saving,   but we also had two coffee mugs made with our favorite photo of us on them and we purchased two 4x6's and a 5x7 photo.    And then come to find out, I had a 20% discount because a photo pass card that was given to me because of my birthday.

So I have to ask............. do you take advantage of Photo Pass ???   If so, please tell me more.

Pogo I love Photopass especially because we have been with family. I was just thinking about when to do the pre order for next Dec.  Since we will be 8 of us there will be many photo ops and looking for new photos to treasure.

My trip last Feb. was the first time that I didn't purchase the preorder and get the CD.  I did order a couple files that I downloaded on my computer and it's really to commemorate the SAINTS SUPERBOWL WIN...

I have so many great photopass photos that I can't help but plan to get the CD.... I know we will look forward to getting the pictures this Dec.

I'll admit, on most of our trips, we don't stop & get our pictures taken. We tend to even forget we had any taken...

However, for our honeymoon, we knew ahead of time we were going to buy the CD, so we stopped for just about every PhotoPass Cast Member we saw. The kicker? We let them know we were going to buy the CD -- most of them went crazy & had lots of fun taking pictures. At one time, we had "dueling PhotoPass" -- now we know how celebrities feel when the paparazzi are after them!

I started boycott Photopass after the fiasco that occurred with them a few years back.  I don't know if any of you recall, they were allowing some people to pre-purchase CDs and some not.  Anytime I would call customer service to get the lo-down about it, they were always nasty.  And I never ended up getting a straight answer from them.  So that was it for me--you don't treat your customers well or ALL fairly, then you don't get my hard earned money!!

I wonder if the photopass preorder was a mistake? Do you know they may have forgotten to put an expiration date and had to honor it if asked but really didn't want to??? I used the code over and over. They have tightened up and now everyone can order the pre order at a reduced rate and I just don't think it's worth it if you don't have hundreds of pictures if you don't use the preorder discount. I typically get 75-100 shots.

Nanette I"m sorry you had that bad experience. I do think their photographers are improving too; but as you can see with the shot above the quality is a little lacking there and sometimes they do rush you and I usually tell them I've ordered the CD. .

We used it when we went with my niece to get pics of all three of us. Otherwise we never really use it. I hate having my picture taken. But I love taking tons of pics, mostly of Mike and he's a good sport about it.

They changed the policy on the pre-order. Now you have to have a trip planned and they send you the invitation about 2 months before your trip.

If you are DVC you do not get the invitation because your reservation does not show up in the regular Disney reservation system. I am hoping this new system fixes that.

When I call photo pass to complain that I did not get a code they sent me one. (It is the one I posted) It is a general code and anyone can use it if they have it but trying to get it can be tough.

We do take a lot of photos. And, when we go as a group with friends and family we tell everyone to get a card. They all go on the same CD. When we went for Beth's birthday I think we took well over 100 photos.

I got an letter from Disney yesterday with a photo pass card in it. The letter says to ask all photographers for some "Disney Magic". It looks like they will be adding more to the photo than just Tink and Stitch.

I just wish they would change up the locations.

I am less than 2 months away from my next trip with DVC and haven't gotten the invitation yet. But I am a "fan" of Photopass on Facebook, and they have a posting that has a link for the offer on their wall. I clicked it, and it entered it in my cart. So, hopefully that will continue to work!

I preordered mine for Dec. a while back... I don't know what the deal is with this on again off again discount. I am hoping they get it straight soon.

Maybe this new system is going to fix the problem. All reservations, DVC and regular should show up on any computer now.

Bret and I are going about the same time. Morgan, that means we both got ours about a month out. Yours should be coming!
