Passholders can ride shotgun for free at Walt Disney World Speedway
Passholders, here’s a pretty sweet deal if you’re into NASCAR. Stop by Walt Disney World Speedway — it’s situated right in front of Magic Kingdom — and you can do a Ride Along from Richard Petty Driving Experience for free. This program normally costs more than $100 per person.
Show your Disney pass and you’ll get to ride shotgun for three mile-long laps in a NASCAR-style race car reaching speeds up to 140 mph with a professional driving instructor. This offer is good through March 31.
You must be at least 14 years old to ride, and participants younger than 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Free ride-alongs are limited to one per passholder for the three-month promotion.
While at the track, passholders can enter to win an 18-lap King’s Driving Experience valued at $919.04 and Richard Petty-signed diecast car. Monthly winners also will be drawn to win an 8-lap Rookie Driving Experience, valued at $486.04. These contests are open to passholders 18 and older with valid drivers licenses.
Are you going to do it Bret?
Too bad that my AP expires on March 23rd and it looks like I won't be there until March 29th. Not sure if I'm going to re-new my AP or not.
I dont get back till June...................... so no I wont get to do it........
Well, our APs expired already, and we won't be back before the end of March, but I think Robert would enjoy this. He's not big into NASCAR, but I still think he would like it. I just don't think he could get into (and back out of) the car through the window.
I read this earlier and was surprised to see it. Why do you think they're offering this to AP holders?
I'll be there in February - President's Week - but not sure if I'd take advantage of the offer. I'm not huge with the whole race car thing, but this does sound pretty cool. Anyone ever do any of the Richard Petty experiences?
That is awesome -- I'd definitely sign up for that in a heartbeat!!! Don't think we'll have the chance, tho, but -- brilliant move, in my estimation.
Give thousands of APers the "taste", and they'll be more than willing to pay the full price for the full experience sometime in the future.
If anybody gets to do it -- let us know how it is!
this is really cool! I don't know if I would do it, but I know Bobby and Taylor would!
I put my two cents in
