My husband is a huge NASCAR fan. So when I had first told him about the Richard Petty Driving Experience he was excited till we looked at the pricing for the Ride-along. For some reason a week or two ago I looked at the site again and they are running a special for a ride a long for $59.00 (not valid at Daytona or Indianapolis race tracks) as long as you buy the gift card before December 31st 2011. There's no experation date on it, I called and asked, told them I'm going in May, and they said it would be valid.

Choose a track for a Ride-Along gift card:

UNSPECIFIED TRACK - $59 * (Not valid at Daytona or Indianapolis)
Atlanta Motor Speedway Homestead-Miami Speedway Michigan International Speedway
Bristol Motor Speedway Indianapolis Motor Speedway New Hampshire Motor Speedway
California (Auto Club) Speedway Iowa Speedway Orlando (Walt Disney World Speedway)
Charlotte Motor Speedway Kansas Speedway Phoenix International Raceway
Chicagoland Speedway Kentucky Speedway Richmond International Raceway
Darlington Raceway Las Vegas Motor Speedway Texas Motor Speedway
Daytona International Speedway

$59 Ride-Alongs purchased between now and December 31, 2011 can be used at track starting January 1, 2012. If you would like to purchase a regular Ride-Along to use between now and December 31, 2011 contact 1.800.237.3889 or purchase it at the track the day of.

Generally our Ride-Along Experience is offered between 9am to 4pm on days RPDE is on track at most locations. Before heading to the track call 1.800.237.3889 to confirm dates/times.

To participate in our Ride-Along experience you must be at least 14 years old at all tracks. If under 18 you must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

* Ride-Along prices vary from track to track depending on local taxes and fees. Choosing a specific track ensures the recipient of the gift will not have to pay any extra at that location for a Ride-Along.

Thanks Meag, sounds awesome. If I had a plan to go soon I might do this for my son but no plans for a family trip soon.  Course that no expiration date is nice. How much is it without the discount does it really save a lot?

I think it depends on the track, and with the deal it's difficult to see what it would normally be, but from what I could find on the website without the deal it's from $99.00 to $135.00 for the Ride-Along. The price jumps a lot for a Rookie Experience (you drive) and so on. And the gift card can be used at any track, except Daytona and Indianapolis, so depending where you live there may be a track near  you. New Hampshire Motor Speedway a couple hours drive from us, but I'd rather go to Disney.
