Please add your input here for rides that Hayden may enjoy on his trip. He is 10yrs old and limited to his W/C but don't forget to include rides or attractions where he can even just go through to see the preshow.

This is a tough one. I think we need to break it down by park. I hope Hayden is able to transfer from his wheelchair.
Epcot:
The Seas with Nemo & Friends Pavilion
Universe of Energy Pavilion|
The Land Pavilion|
American Adventure Pavilion
Universe of Energy Pavilion
Canada Pavilion
Studios:
Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular
Muppet*Vision 3D
Playhouse Disney—Live on Stage!
The Great Movie Ride
Magic Kingdom:
Mickey's PhilharMagic
Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor (my personal favorite)
Animal Kingdom:
This will be the most challenging of all the parks. Finding Nemo the Musical and Festival of the Lion King are two great shows that the whole family will enjoy.
I'll keep thinking and be back later with some more suggestions.

I don't think these need transfers. He may enjoy some of the movies from the different countries too. Don't forget the family can do the "kim possible" mission and there are fun things in Innoventions
Studios:
Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular
Muppet*Vision 3D
Playhouse Disney—Live on Stage!

a young man may love the stunt show too. Lights, Motor Action stunt show, The back lot tour is easy w/ a w/c too. , Don't forget Fantasmic!
Magic Kingdom:
Mickey's PhilharMagic
Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor (my personal favorite)
Small world is accessible but can be pretty rough getting on the boat. Stitch can be fun for kids, a walk through w/ Space Mnt., Carousel of Progress,
Animal Kingdom:

Don't forget Rafiki's planet where you can see the Vet clinic in action and there are some awesome paths w/ the animals too.

Can I suggest riding the monorail. You do not need a park ticket to ride...........The whole family can enjoy this. There is a monorail stop at EPCOT in the front of the park. You can ride the monorail to the Ticket and Transporation Center. (TTC) At that point, you can either stay on that monorail and head back to EPCOT, or you can get off that line and walk down the ramp and up to another ramp and catch the monorail that brings you to the Magic Kingdom resorts. This monorail stops at the Polynesian (Poly), the Grand Floridian, (GF), the Magic Kingdom (MK), the Contemporary Resort (Cont.) and then finally, it stops back at the TTC. While riding the resort monorail, you can either stay on or get off at each hotel and just take a stroll to see each of the beautiful resorts.
If you are spending the day at the MK and need a break, you may want to exit the park and ride the resort monorail at this time. It's a nice, relaxing way to cool off and take a break.

In Magic Kingdom, Hayden can also enjoy "it's a small world", they have boats he can just wheel right up his chair and off they go.

Thank you everyone for all the suggestions !! Just to let you all know, once Hayden is in his chair, he has to stay in it until his rest periods when he will be transferred to a flat surface. Because of Hayden's medical condition, he is very carefully supported in his chair. Sudden movement wouldn't be tolerated it would be a huge medical compromise for Hayden. Thanks everyone !!

An Idea at Epcot is the Kidcots...........
This is in each country where the kids get to make a mask and they hang something from every Country on it. Haden's Sister could help him with this and I am sure the Cast Members there would also help.
On the mask kids can color or use colored markers to decorate it.
You can also do Kidcots in some areas of Future World. I know for sure that at the end of Test Track they have a station. You don't have to ride the ride as you can go in the back door and it is in the gift shop.
Also at the Boardwalk at night time they have free shows along the Boardwalk and it is right there for your enjoyment.

I think he will enjoy Kidcot even though he will need some help they should be giving him personal attention. The thing that is great about the boardwalk is you are right by your resort.

I also think Small World is a great suggestion. Nice boat ride and no transfer necessary. Universe of Energy is good too. Traci and I went on that and she didn't have to get out of her chair, they just opened up the back and I wheeled her in.

I think It's a Small World (IASW) is wonderful for children but when I went with Angel last summer I realized just how rough that docking area can be. They run the boat up on rollers and it really jostles the party in the boat. Sort of like driving over bricks. I would be concerned about the stress that produces. When Angel and I were on it in Aug. with her bad back she really felt the bumps and so did my mom. Please be aware of the small but present shake up after the boat loads and before it unloads.
We did check w/ Disney and their info is not current. Infact it says you must transfer in Universe of Energy but you can ride Alien Encounter.......
My dad was able to transfer so I'm not up to date on the ones that require transfer... .

Good morning....... .... one of our members who is having Internet troubles asked me to post this for her. It's from Traci who has challenges of her own and has used a wheelchair while at WDW. Every little bit of info helps..... right ?? Thanks Traci...... luv you girl.
Do not forget to get a GAC (Guest Access Card) They have a few different types, the one That they usually give me is the alternate entrance one but make sure to discuss all of your options with the cast member at Guest Services to find the best fit for you. They have been asking for letters from doctors lately, listing any reasons why a GAC might be appropriate, or if you have been before they now would like you to bring your previous GACs (so after this trip, make sure to save the GAC so that if you go again, the next week or the next century, it will be an automatic qualifier) While at guest services getting your GAC, be sure to get a guidebook for guests with disabilities, it’s similar to the guide maps for the parks but it shows all attractions, lists all alternate entrances, whether they have Closed Captioning, etc. anything that may be offered as an aid to guest with disabilities that may or may not be listed in the normal guide books or guide maps. Remember that for ALL parades and shows (Illuminations, Fantasmic, Block Party, etc) there are designated areas for wheelchairs (or strollers as wheelchairs, or any other mobility device) to view these shows and parades. Be sure to still get there with plenty of time to spare as they can fill up quickly and even if they don’t fill up, if there is a row in front of you it can still be difficult to see. They may separate your party if the viewing area gets busy but usually in less busy times of year we haven’t had that problem. My son or daughter a lot of times could sit in front of my wheelchair as long as they were not out past the rope, that way they didn’t get separated from me. We ran into some issues with height with my Godson, who has CP. He could not stand to be measured so we quickly found they had no way to measure a child who could not stand, they were going to refuse to let him on Soarin’ his favorite ride. A tape measure or other such device might be helpful. They may not always be trusting of a measuring device brought with you so offering to compare it to their measuring device may be helpful.

I'm thinking Country Bear Jamboree and a ride on the Liberty Steamboat might be doable and they are in close proximity to one another. I'll keep thinking....

Incredible information everyone. Thank you! I'll need to sit and compile lists for each park. Most importantly, Hayden CANNOT transfer out of his chair. He can visit those attractions that allow him to stay in his chair. I don't do rides much either so Lauren and Daddy can enjoy a lot of rides while Hayden and I hang out. We may plan days where perhaps the two of them hit the park while Hayden and I chill in the room (although he really doesn't like my Wii skills).
****Question: I read of fishing somewhere near the Boardwalk. Hayden loves to watch fishing so is this something that still exists?
****Question: Hannah Montana makeover for Lauren. Has anyone done this with their child?
****Question: Resort hopping. Can we enjoy the pool at other hotels? Just thinking of the days when the parks are too much but we manage to get some kind of cot or appropriate lounger for Hayden to relax outside by the pool. He's never done anything like it.

Question #1
Disney has fishing charters that people pay for. Some of those could be close to the Boardwalk as they fish from boats. It would be in the early morning if they have folks fishing..
Question #2
I know they have the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique but as far as I know they do princesses but not sure about Hannah Montana
Question #3
Only DVC Disney Vacation Club folks can Pool Hop..........
The Boardwalk has 3 pools. One that has a water slide called Luna Park and 2 quiet pools.
Dont forget about the Boardwalks Live entertainment at nighttime along the boardwalk. It is free and the shows are short but the kids will love them.

isn't the fishing in the lakes by Downtown Disney? I've seen fishing boats when we stayed at Saratoga Springs Resort (SSR).
When we were there the main Boardwalk pool was closed. They usually give you a notice if the pool will be closed during your stay. It may be back in action now.
I think that the Hanna Montana make-over is the "princess of pop" at bibbity boppity boutique. don't forget to make a reservation to reduce your wait time.

Fishing is also available at Port Orleans Riverside. Bret, isn't that where Bob is? Do you think they would like that?
I have to agree, those bumps were rough on my back on It's a Small World. I guess if he does not have chronic pain he may be okay. Just be prepared to hold his head or body in place so he does not get jostled. Other than the rollers when leaving the loading area or hitting a boat ahead of you coming in, it is not a bad ride.
According to my paperwork, the Magic Carpets of Alladin is a ride that does not require transfer from a wheelchair. Does anyone have any knowledge of this?
It is such a shame that Haunted mansion or Soarin require transfers... you would think that they could put a wheelchair accessible car by now.
