Mouse-aid Celebrates

One Year

Today marks a year since the launch of Mouse-aid. We have grown so much in that short year and reached goals we never dreamed of attaining so quickly. The Mouse-aid community derives from a group of Disney fans who are all heart and strive emulate the dreams of Walt himself. While our loving and giving group shares the common goal of touching the lives of others if for nothing more than to bring a smile on another’s face; we strive maintain hope to those suffering with loss and illness. Our members share the joy of Disney with friends and family. Mouse-aid is so much more than an information site. It’s a place where friends reach out to help others build dreams and fabulous memories. Our goals here at Mouse-aid strive to:

  • Increase awareness of coping with stress and travel.
  • Increase awareness of healthy parenting skills.
  • Increase personal and family–communication skills.
  • Increase awareness of anger management skills.
  • Provide information on grieving and loss.
  • Increase awareness of healthy coping skills.
  • Increase public awareness of the stressors when traveling with individuals with disabilities or chronic illness.
  • Increase public awareness of the special needs of people with disabilities.
  • Increase awareness of travel and aging.

Recently we have had the pleasure of “aiding” the trip of one of our members. Mouse-aid members opened their hearts to Tinkerbellybutton who copes from Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. Traci is an inspiration to us all with her positive outlook and loving support. In appreciation for all she has done, members have showered her with love in return and aim to sprinkled a little extra magic of their own on Traci’s birthday trip. When Traci and Bruce arrived the Disney All Star Sports Resort on September 9 th they found a little surprise waiting for them. Through the generous donations of members and sponsors Traci received a Minnie Plush holding $400.00 gift certificate and to make her trip a little easier, Buena Vista Scooters donated a scooter for the duration of the trip. We thank all who have showered Traci with their love and kindness. You can follow her travels under TinksHope in the in trip reports in the forum. Please join us.
