My day 3...I woke up sore but otherwise fine. It took a LOT to get myself out of bed. I was still tired. I got 4.5 hours of sleep on Friday night and 3.5 on Saturday night and I was really starting to feel it. You know how when you charge up your phone, use up almost all the battery, and then partially re-charge it? That was me on Monday. I was fine and ready to go, but I ran out of steam mid-day after only 6 hours of sleep on Sunday night. Yes, that is a combined 14 hours of sleep over three nights = NOT enough for the amount of energy I was using up!
Like Lori said, we got to "Hollywood Studios" (or MGM as we like to call it!) and did the Toy Story Mania fastpass grab, the TSM ride, the One Man's Dream, and then TSM again. I love that ride! It rocks! One Man's Dream was interesting to me because I had JUST gone to the New Orleans Museum of Art last Wednesday for their "Dreams" exhibit. It was on the history of Disney animation and it was still pretty fresh in my mind. Some of the information overlapped, and some of the information was a good complement to what I had just seen.
Beaches and Cream was awesome. I love the Beach Club. I am not a DVC member so I do not have a "home" resort in that sense of the term. However, the Yacht & Beach Club complex is where we stayed when we went on family trips growing up and it feels like a home to me. Every other time I've been to Beaches and Cream, I've had to wait. Sometimes a LONG wait. This was the first time I've ever walked right in with no wait! We even go to sit at a booth! I cannot remember ever sitting at a booth. The last several times I've been, we've been at the counter. I always get the same thing: the cheeseburger and a chocolate milkshake. YUM! I just love this place!
Then we went to Epcot and split up, like Lori said. I took a right from the International Gateway to head to France. My goal was to look at the flowers that are special to the Garden Festival. I had the pamphlet out and a pen and was checking them off on the map as I saw them. I didn't want to miss any! By about Japan, I started to feel a little tired and thirsty. For some reason, I totally ignored this. Bad idea. I had THREE bottled drinks in my backpack. I have no idea why I didn't stop at this point and drink them; I couldn't take them on the plane anyways. I kept walking. It was sunny and about 70, but since I was clearly getting dehydrated and as tired as I was, everything felt amplified and I was getting very warm and I started feeling really crummy. By this time I was to Mexico, so I went into the dark "fiesta" plaza thing inside and sat on a bench. I drank two of my drinks and sat for almost 30 minutes and still felt thirsty and tired. I decided maybe I'd feel better if I moved on. I went out to see a few more flowers. I made it all the way around World Showcase and had some time before our planned meeting at Mouse Gears. I could have gone on some rides, but noooo. I decided instead to take a nap on a bench. I slept under the monorail on the path that leads from Innoventions to Mission:Space.
I probably slept for about 30 minutes on a busy path UNDER a monorail.
Anyways, after that I felt refreshed enough to carry on.
As I was going to meet up with Lori at Mouse Gears (about an hour earlier than planned...we were both toast by this point!), I saw the Jammitors setting up so I stopped to watch them. Then we shopped a bit and left to go catch the bus back to ASSp. Once back at ASSp, we stopped to get Mickey Bars and then we went and sat in some lounge chairs by the pool. I ate my Mickey Bar under the palm trees, then set the alarm on my phone, put the chair almost to flat, put my sweatshirt over my face, and fell asleep again. I was dreaming when the alarm went off to go get our bags from bag check. Right as we were finishing up rearranging stuff in our bags, the towncar came and whisked us away to the airport.
I wanted to sleep on the plane ride home but the lady next to me kept waking me up. And no, I'm not talking about Lori. I'm talking about the lady on the other side of me.
She was cool to talk to but geez!
I had a great time. I keep saying I won't do another trip; I want to wait until I can do a full week and really take it easy. Well, that just keeps not happening. I didn't get on many rides, but I still had a fantastic time and I would do it again if given the chance. Next year, the Princess Half Marathon is the same weekend as Mardi Gras, so I doubt I'll do it next year. The parks will be even more crowded than this year, although I WOULD get to go for longer - I'd have off at least Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Hmmm....
