Re: Christmas by the Numbers at Walt Disney World Resort  (United States)

Okay, let's see if I can remember what I wanted to say here...............where were we?  Oh yeah, as I was reading this, it reminded me of the year (way back in 2001 I believe) when Bret and I were lucky enough to be staying at Wilderness Lodge the night they were setting up the Christmas tree and lobby decorations.  It was an experience I will always remember.  It was so cool to be able to sit and watch the workers perform their magic overnight.  I would have never imagined how much work actually goes into putting up a 6 or 7 story tree inside a building.  They started decorating late at night, after 10:00 pm.  and when you woke up the next morning the hotel was transformed into holiday magic.  I would love to be able to watch them do that again, but we miss it by one day every year.  The lobby at this hotel is always decorated by the time we arrive on the Thursday, the week before Thanksgiving.  I believe they decorate the tree and lobby on Wednesday, the week before Thanksgiving.  So, if anyone is lucky enough to be staying at Disney during this time, it would be an awesome experience and one you will enjoy.

Has anyone else been able to experience some holiday magic in the making?
