Star Wars Weekends Returns to Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Once again, the power of the Force and the magic of Disney combine in May and June for Star Wars Weekends, a sci-fi fan-fest inspired by the popular film saga.
Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from May 22-June 14, 2009, Disney’s Hollywood Studios becomes the temporary home for a band of out-of-this-world characters, including Wookiees, Sith, droids, Jedi, Ewoks, bounty hunters and Rodians. Dates are May 22-24, May 29-31, June 5-7 and June 12-14.
A giant, “A to Z” gathering of Star Wars characters – from Anakin Skywalker to Zam Wesell – will roam the streets of the theme park during meet-and-greet sessions. Jedi Training Academy – one of the interactive entertainment experiences featured in the theme park – takes place throughout the day on the event’s main stage and allows young guests to learn from a Jedi Master before testing newly acquired skills in a battle with Darth Vader.
Also featured: the chance to purchase one-of-a-kind Star Wars memorabilia, Star Wars trivia contests, special Star Wars parades, rides on the famed Star Tours attraction, and autograph sessions and star conversations with famous Star Wars actors and creative geniuses.

Fans of the Star Wars universe don't have to travel to "a galaxy far, far away" to come face to face with droids, alien creatures and many of their favorite Star Wars Characters.
Younglings can hone their lightsaber skills and prepare to do battle with Darth Vader himself at the Star Wars: Jedi Training Academy. Prove yourself the master of Star Wars trivia in contests with prize giveaways. Board a runaway Starspeeder on the Star Tours attraction, or stare in awe as visitors from Naboo, Endor and everywhere in between pass by in a Star Wars motorcade.
In addition to all of the entertainment, there are plenty of conversations, autograph sessions and motorcades with the celebrities and creators of the Star Wars galaxy.

Grab a Disney's FASTPASS ticket to ensure your place in line for Star Wars celebrity autographs, or find special limited-edition merchandise to add to your collection at the Tatooine Traders store and other vendors around the Disney's Hollywood Studios Theme Park.
Each day ends with the Hyperspace Hoopa! show, where many Star Wars favorites let loose with music, comedy, dancing and more.
With Ewoks, Wookies, Storm Troopers, Jawas and more invading Disney's Hollywood Studios Theme Park, young Padawan Learners and their parents would be wise to have their cameras ready.
