How cool that you get to go on your birthday.

I have tickets for December 6th a Sunday if I remember correctly.  I can't wait either, it's going to be so much fun.  Love the holiday season at Disney.

I'm probably not going but I might be working. Hope you guys enjoy the event. It's not my favorite so I usually don't go but I know tons of people who really like it.

So do you get to use your gift card for your birthday to pay for the MVMCP tickets? What a great present!!

I love the party, sitting on main street with the snow coming down while whatching the parade.... AAaahhhhhh.....

I wish I could be there to crash your party!!

Angel, I think I'm going to use my gift card to buy the castle Wittnauer watch that I've been drooling over for YEARS. I hope to get it from the World of Disney, so I can use my Disney Visa/AP discount, plus my birthday gift card, AND my Disney Reward Dollars, so that my out of pocket expense won't be so much!!

I am so excited about my birthday trip!

Oh how cool! There is nothing better than getting something you REALLY want and getting it free or at a great price thanks to the discounts! I love my Disney Visa... I can honestly say that we have gotten our fair share of Disney Dollars. We even paid for our DVC (and paid it off so no finance charge) with the visa JUST to get the points... LOL

Well, we are actually going to skip the party this year.  We have attended the last 3 years and they are really not doing anything different this year so I feel we are not missing much.  I really enjoyed the Mickey's Twas the Night Before Christmas show but since that stage is gone, I'm not even sure if they will have that this year.

I'm sure you will have tons of fun.

I like to go b/c it's usually the only time I get to see snow.

Sherrie do you know the first time I saw the Christmas play was in 1982 and it was the same play. They did it at DTD (which was called Buena Vista Mall? ) and it was great. In those days you only had 2 parks and EPCOT was brand new and it was something else to do at night.

Make sure you go on main street.... that is where the snow is..... sit back and enjoy it... they have snow flakes in lights on the buildings on main street... The parade is so great.... I love the toy soldiers.....

Re: Re: Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party 2009   (United States)

I feel like the cost of a ticket now outweights the benefit of the event. We've been many times and like the party as a whole but unless something amazing comes along to increase the value of the party, we'll be skipping it.  I still think everyone should try the party once but not necessarily once a year.

Re: Re: Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party 2009   (United States)

I'll have to remember that one, since I don't recall it snowing last year.  But granted when I left home last year we had 6" inches of snow on the ground.  So seriously is it really snow or is it soap flakes?

Re: Re: Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party 2009   (United States)

Stephanie I have to come visit.... I want to go to WDW for Christmas too though.

Mary the snow is what they call cracked soap. You know if you lathered up real well then blew it out? Yeah don't eat the snow... but hey the streets are real clean and it looks pretty.
